Think about the Think Chair

When you call your chair a Think Chair, there’s better be something to back it up with. We took a quick look into Steelcase’s Think Chair and this is what we’ve found:

It seems that the Think Chair is more than just a chair. It might look like a normal office chair but this one has brain and a conscience. No kiddin’ guys, the chair is intelligent enough to understand how you sit and adjust itself intuitively and it is also thoughtful enough to measure and minimize its lifelong impact on the environment – it’s up to 98% recyclable by weight.

The chair’s innovative flexors system tracks the individual movement of your spine and pelvis. The back flexors are individually shaped to the human form to provide optimum support for each area of the back. Seat flexors conform to your shape, providing a dynamic comfort pocket. You've never been more flexed in your entire life.

The chair’s intelligence is created with the Your Power Mechanism that moves as fluidly as the human body does. It provides recline support in proportion to your own body weight, while keeping you oriented to your work. When you recline or lean forward, the seat edge flexes to relieve pressure on the back of the legs.

We are sure you will find something amazing to not only make your house or office a home but give it a little style. Teenage Rebellion at your Office

What do you think about when you hear the word “Skateboard” ?

You probably think about your first fall. And about your happy, carefree teen days, times when you did not mind to break a leg or get your face all over the road…

For many people, skateboard was and still is a way of life. But we’re adults, and what we've got left are only sweet memories.

Well... how about getting a skateboard into your home or even office? Take a look at this sweet, awesome, Skate 360 Coffee Table:

Perfectly engineered truck, wheel and glass interplay, the The Skate360 table is a grown up Lazy sara that celebrates that instance of teenage rebellion. Taking seriously the claim that skating is a lifestyle, this piece accommodates and furnishes that life quite well.

The Walnut coffee table with 32" rotating glass top is available at your local skateboard store... no, not really... It's available exclusively at www.escadesigns.com

A Desk Grows in Brooklyn - Introducing the Delta Desk

There’s something going on in Brooklyn lately. Brave Space Design is a part of this revival – they are a group of Brooklyn-based designers, concentrating on bringing modular, multi-functional objects into the home and office setting. The people at Brave Space seem dedicated to provide quality, high-end furniture that designed from a common set of influences reflecting a style that is playful and modern.

Take a look at this great Delta Desk, designed by the group to utilize the space beneath the main work area. It has winged shelves that allow the owner to store those peripherals that otherwise clutter valuable work space.

The Desk, made from FSC Maple, is also designed to pack into a consolidated unit for easy transport with minimal assembly, and it’s available in a variety of Waterborne Colors, as well as Natural & Amber Bamboo combination.

If you want to get your hands on this Delta, Brooklyn made desk, or any other name brand luxury office chairs and our own Esca Designs, visit www.escadesigns.com. We are sure you will find something amazing to not only make your house or office a home but give it a little style. Get into a space-saving mode with the new OneLessDesk

Seems like everything these days turned into iSomthing. There’s iPods and iSpeakers and iComputers and soon we’ll have iTomatoes and iToilets. Still, there is something special about this iDesk or OneLessDesk.

For all of you students/studio residents/mac freaks out there – this desk is good news. It’s a great space saver and with two independent decks that can be pushed together - the iDesk gives you lots of options. Don't have a desktop computer? You could put your notebook on the lower deck and connect it to a big display on the upper deck.
Another great feature is the iDesk’s wire management. The out-of-sight, rear-facing shelf provides a great home for your wires, power strip, external hard drives, USB hubs, and even small speakers - all in ventilated, heat-sinking comfort.

The iDesk feels really mac like and constructed entirely of welded, thick steel. The lower deck can hold a keyboard tray and you will also have some room for your mouse, pen tablet or paperwork.

Here you can see the iDesk in action:
